Claymakers is in the Durham Arts community, located at 705 Foster Street in the former Durham Awning Co. building, next door to the ManBitesDog Theater.

We offer:

  • Classes
    for beginners and continuing students in clay, providing opportunities for learning about forming techniques, glaze and surface treatments, and firing process.
  • Individual Studio Areas
    are available for rent, accessible 24 hours a day to renters only.
  • Retail Sales Gallery
    offers pottery and ceramic art produced by area artists. Hours: Tues - Sat, 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM.
  • Supplies
    including clay, ceramic tools, supplies, equipment and books for sale at competitive prices to the public, and
  • Clay Firing Services
    are also available.
