Open Studio
During Open Studio Hours, the Wheel and Hand Building Studios are open to students and to Community Studio Renters for independent work.
Students and renters need to have had prior instruction on proper use of studio and equiptment. If you are new to Claymakers, we will ask you to review your questions with your instructor in preparation for working independently in the studio. We encourage everyone to take a class prior to signing up to be a Community Studio Renter. While staff may be around and able to answer some questions, please be considerate of their efforts to keep Claymakers running.
Open studio hours vary from session to session, depending on when classes are scheduled. Open studio hours are available on Friday evenings with the help of volunteers to be present at 6:00 and to close the building at 9:00. If you wish to use open studio during these times, we encourage you to share the responsibility for covering these hours. Please let a staff member know that you are interested in volunteering and we will give you instructions ahead of time about locking up. If we have no volunteers, open studio hours will not be available on Friday evenings.

Fridays 1:00 - 6:00
6:00 - 9:00 Open Friday evenings if a student is present at 6:00, when the office closes.
A volunteer is needed to close the studio.
Saturdays 1:00 - 6:00
Sundays 2:00 - 6:00
